![]() So, if you want to have more of an experience, and learn a little of the culture as well as the words, and if you like things that are visually appealing, then perhaps Rosetta is the way to go. Rosetta stone also feels like it has more extraneous stuff, whereas the duolingo is to-the-point, focuses on learning the language/words and that's pretty much it. However, I do think that Duolingo is geared more in the way younger people think and move and interact with technology now days than the Rosetta stone. This Rosetta does have a more leisurely, slower paced feel compared to Duolingo, but at the same time I don't want to say that it's slow moving because it's not. She says she much prefers Duolingo even though it doesn't have any visuals - other than the words you're learning. I selected this for my teen daughter and I thought she'd really love it because it's supposed to be more visually oriented and she's a visual learner.
